Look up Fancy Mare and you will find Shiners Mistress. She has style, athleticism, great color, baby doll head, and everyone on the ranch wants to show her at least once, so they can get one of those fancy stopping pictures.

In 2005, she was the Intermediate Open Champion at the NRHA Championship Show, the Fiesta Open Champion in Kentucky, and the Reserve Open Champion at the Guthrie Sparktacular show.

This well bred mare is by $2 Million NRHA Sire, Shining Spark and out of Missy Lena, a Doc O'lena mare who has produced winners of over $67,000. Her full sister was a all time high seller for a 2 year old at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale in 2006.

Each foal by Shiners Mistress has been beautiful! No matter what sire, they have come out looking wonderful. She stamps each of them with great conformation, a pretty face, and her cute ears.

Her first foals came in 2005 and will enter the show pen this year. Her first foals were both by Lil Ruf Peppy. A colt and a filly. The colt, A Ruf Master, is in training with Tim McQuay and is one of his top futurity prospects. The filly, A Ruf Mistress, is still in training at GVR. We have been selfish with her.

From the 2006 crop came the gorgeous Gunner filly that was the high seller at the Legacy sale. Purchased by Lyle Lovett for $75,000 and is also now in the Time McQuay Program.
