Before Wallis and Jane Winegar purchased Green Valley Ranch in June of 2004, plans were already under way to expand the impressive facility.

The Ranch, which was originally built by previous owner Ed Pickett, was already more than well appointed. However, the Winegars decided to add to both the horse and living amenities.

"We really appreciate the Picketts and what they've done," said Wallis when asked about his future plans for Green Valley. "We'd just like it to continue in the same spirit of what has already been done and build on the foundation that is already there."

So far, the Winegars have added a 25-stall addition to the show barn, as well as a covered round pen, a theatre, arcade area, a exercise room and new offices.

The Winegars are currently living in a large apartment on the Ranch, and are going to either renovate the existing house on site, or build a new one.

Either way, Green Valley Ranch is developing into one of the largest and most impressive performance horse facilities in the country.
